The top 2014 Oscar look and moment of the night was overwhelming taken by Lupita Nyong’o! She won best supporting actress Oscar for the film “12 Years A Slave”.
First, Lupita’s dress, was my top Oscar look of the night by far! She wore a Blue Prada dress with plunging neckline, that she pulled off so gracefully. It was so stunning and elegant…simply breath-taking!
Secondly, Lupita’s moving acceptance speech was my top Oscar moment! What moved me most was her statement, “No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.” Such an awesome inspiration and encouragement!
What was your favorite Oscar look or favorite Oscar moment of 2014?
I thought Lupita’s dress was just beautiful, and I loved that she chose very simple accessories to go with it. The headband was spectacular. I also thought Sandra Bullock’s dress was beautiful – maybe there is a trend here….I just really like simple, elegant lines. I know some folks thought it was corny – but I laughed out loud at the selfie that Ellen took…..I especially enjoyed Lupita popping up in the background! (And, true to form, I don’t think I had seen a single nominated film…….or even any of the films in which individual actors were nominated for awards – guess I will be hitting Netflix and Redbox over the next few months!)
Yes, I did also love Sandra Bullock’s dress…I also love her as an actress as well! And Ellen had me cracking up the entire time, I loved her as the host…she was awesome. She kept me tuned in and engaged :)! And regarding the movies, I’m like you, I’ll be Redbox and Netflix’in too!
We were all awaiting to see what she would wear and I must say she did not disappoint. She looked like a gorgeous Grecian goddess.
Yes you are absolutely right, she looked like a goddess!
