We will all experience loss during our lifetime over someone or something. Yet the topic of loss and grief is often unspoken and overlooked. So, it excited me to hear about this new book by Dr. Tony Evans and his family, Divine Disruption: Holding on to Faith When Life Breaks Your Heart.
If you are like me, you have already benefited greatly from the individual ministries within the Evans, Hurst, Shirer family. They are well known pastors, teachers, preachers, and leaders who are full of wisdom and most importantly a love for God and His kingdom. This project brought them all together.
Part 1 of the book invites us into the life of their family and the losses they suffered within their family. Written from the vantage point of each member of the family. Each story shows how no matter who you are, all will experience grief. Part 2 of the book offers encouragement through a more devotional style.
I admire the family for writing in the loss and grief space. By sharing in this way, it helps to bring more awareness and conversations around loss and grief. Now here are 7 quotes I found encouraging from this book. I pray they encourage you as well.
