Valentine’s Day Sweet Treat
Valentine’s Day Sweet Treat. Are you getting ready for Valentine’s Day?! Here’s a great post I wanted to re-share of some yummy chocolate covered heart-shaped strawberries for my Sweeties…the hubs and the kids, that I made for Valentine’s Day!
I got the heart-shaped idea from the Food Network and the milk chocolate dipping plus white chocolate drizzle from The Pioneer Women.
Materials:
Wax Paper
Cutting Board
Wooden Skewers
Strawberries
Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate for melting Treat Bags
Piping Bag or use a Ziplock bag
Directions: Wash Strawberries. Cut off the tops of the strawberries, then cut them into halves. From the tops of the strawberries, cut triangular sections to form the strawberry shape. Insert the wooden skewers into the tops of the strawberries. Spread wax paper onto a cookie sheet or flat pan. Melt chocolate according to package instructions. Dip strawberries into milk chocolate and place on wax paper. Using a piping bag or ziplock bag with inserted hole at one corner, pipe white chocolate and/or designs onto your strawberries. Then place in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to allow chocolate to harden. You can then place into treat bags. I placed the bags back into the fridge until after dinner, when I proudly presented these Sweets to my Sweeties!
As love is in the air on this Valentine’s Day, remember that God is love (I John 4:8) and he loves to lavish his love on you…yes you!
