Are You A beTweener?

I am, because I am currently in beTween sizes! Thankfully, since the birth of my son (19mths), with decent eating habits and merciless exercising (I’m an anti-diet supplements advocate), I’m losing the weight and trending down in sizes! However, it is still frustrating at times trying to find something to wear, to say the least.

My husband would be the first to tell you that I have tons of clothes. Like if you were to weigh them, they would probably weigh tons! We have a walk-in closet (the size of a small bedroom my mom says) and my clothes take up over half. About a 3rd of the clothes are too tight, another 3rd are too big and only a few items (I say it’s a few) fit well. The sizes are all over the place dependent upon the make of the clothing item!

Unfortunately, for this happy Monday, I felt a little frumpy! Today I wore some ‘Too Big’ pants, bunching at the waist with a belt. Needless to say, no pic today! I’d love to buy more clothes for this beTween stage but I also want to be cost conscious!

Are you or have you ever been a ‘Tweener’? How do/did you deal with dressing your new body and keeping your style in-tact?

  1. I don’t know about keeping my style in tack when I get dressed nowadays b/c I’m definitely an in be”tweener”! Mr. Pharr was just talking about how loose my pants have been looking lately and wondering if I was going to do something about it! But like you said, I I have to be cost conscious, plus I feel like I’m going to lose just a bit more weight so it would actually be pointless right now.

I love your line about your clothes actually weighing a ton…I literally laughed out loud!

Same here, I’m still trending down & I know that I’ll be back in that lower 3rd of clothes that are too tight soon.

The hubby says that I can still buy clothes in the interim. I may take him up on that offer! I remember Stacey from TLC’s “What Not to Wear” say that you need to dress your body for the way it is now and not wait until the time when you’re where you want it to be because it may not come. Which is true…
