Crochet Braid Model Model

Hey Lovelies, I have a new do and wanted to share the deets by way of a product review!

Sooo, I really wanted to try out the gray hair trend and a crochet braid install was the perfect opportunity to do so. Crochet braids allow you to install whatever hair color or texture you choose. So if you don’t like it, it’s only temporary. Now, the hair I used is called Model Model and I used the colors ‘1B’ and ‘Grey’. The curl pattern is ‘Twin Deep’ and the hair is about 20 inches in length, although I couldn’t find the actual length on the packaging. I picked this hair up at my local beauty supply store. However, you can find it on Amazon…they have everything now a days.

For this style I found a stylist that offered a braid down service that included a shampoo, conditioner and the actual braid down. A braid down is having your hair braided in cornrows with the intent of installing a weave or crochet. It saved me tons of time. I did, however install the hair myself. It took me about 3.5 hours and could be installed faster, just depends on how fast you work. For sleeping, I pull the hair up into a high ponytail/pineapple and put on a satin hair wrap.

My Initial thoughts…

I Like it! …super soft, natural feel and look, beautiful curl pattern, easy to install.

I plan to share an update video discussing the pros and cons of this hair over the course of several weeks. And I plan to keep the hair in for about 6-8 weeks. So I hope to have some valuable tips for you at that time. I still hope that you find the video helpful as you decide what hair to use for your next install.
