We love the Disney Attractions at Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. And this year the kids were able to experience even more rides than last year thanks to FastPass and reserving those rides early!
From the Disney site, “Disney FastPass+ service allows you to reserve access to select Walt Disney World theme park attractions, entertainment and Character Greetings in advance. There is no cost to use FastPass+ service―it is included at no extra charge with your theme park admission.”
And what’s awesome about staying in a Disney Resort…you can start reserving up to 60 days in advance. All other ticket holders can reserve 30 days in advance. So we took advantage of it and reserved the kids’ favorites!
1. Space Mountain – Voted #1 favorite by our older 2. The youngest is not tall enough for this ride yet. It was also the #1 favorite from last year.
2. Carrousel – Voted #1 favorite by our youngest! Also his favorite from last year!
3. Mine Train – New to us this year…we didn’t get the opportunity to ride this coaster last year due to it being down for maintenance a few times and all the FastPasses were gone (yep they can actually run out) and we were not about to wait over an hour for it! We’ve seen this ride with up to over an hour and a half wait. This year we were able to get FastPasses for two days…
4. Thunder Mountain – the older kids also enjoyed riding this coaster. The youngest was tall enough but said it was scary so he stayed with me during this ride. We always found something cool to do while the big kids were on the bigger rides…like eating Mickey Ice Cream!
5. Goofy’s Barnstormer – this was new to the kids this year. They said that it was really fast, almost as fast as Space Mountain so they really enjoyed it. Our youngest actually enjoyed this one as well.
6. Tomorrowland Speedway – We had FastPass for this one last year but chose to switch it out in order for the kids to ride on Space Mountain multiple times without the wait! We didn’t use FastPass for this one though, we were able to catch the line when is was short enough.
A few Surprising Rides of Interest:
1. People Mover – surprisingly interesting, this ride was an audible tour of Fantasy Land. The youngest loved riding this ride. It actually takes you behind the scenes of some of the rides like Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain. I can’t even remember how many times we road this.
2. Walt Disney World Train – What fun! The train goes throughout the park from land to land. So we hopped on it a few time. The kids really enjoyed it!
