Ya’ll already know that I am a Seamstress’s daughter. So, I get so super excited over crafty sewing projects. And even more so, those that I can do with my littles. Today, I’m sharing this super fun DIY Sewing Project for Girls.
This Miss April Fashion Girl DIY Sewing Project is one (1) panel that includes simple sewing instructions right on the fabric itself. Materials needed to completed this project include: a sewing machine (however, you could sew it by hand), scissors, thread, pins and stuffing.
It’s targeted for girls, ages 8-12 years old. And I can totally see this fun sewing project happening at birthday parties, sleep overs and fun youth camps. So many possibilities. Along with Miss April, you can also enjoy her Best Fashion Friends.
The instructions were easy to follow and overall the project is simple enough for sewing beginners. It’s similar to sewing a pillow. My only tip is to ensure when you are cutting the doll out that you allow enough fabric allowance for ease of sewing. Sew easy that your girls will be ‘Sew in Love’ right! But really, how cute is this DIY doll.
