Folk Art Restaurant Atlanta Georgia

If you didn’t already know, the Hubs and I are huge fans of Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives (Triple D) on the Food Network Channel hosted by Guy Fieri. So when we travel, we check to see if there is a Triple D restaurant in the area. For one, we like trying new places. But for two, we know that if it’s Guy approved, it’s going to be good! So during our recent trip to Atlanta, we found Folk Art Restaurant on an episode of Triple D and had to try it out. Check the episode out here!

We were nervous that it would be overly packed. So we looked up the peak times and tried to plan our visit around those times. And it worked! We ended up getting there a little bit after brunch started, around 9:30ish. There was no wait time, thank goodness.

The atmosphere was very laid back. I think due to the time of year that we went, a lot of the locals were out-of-town so we didn’t have the crowds that they normally have. Yippee for us! The menu items were all very reasonably priced and the service was great! I love how they even sell art that you find on their walls.

Soooo what did we try? My Hubs got the …Cinnamon Pecan Sticky Bun pancakes with scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon…Yum! I tasted his and wowsers those pancakes were off the charts. So GUD!

And I tried the ‘Triple D’ Fried Chicken Sandwich with Collard Green Cole Slaw with a side of flat top mac n cheese and homemade pickles …Oh Muh Goodness…T-Totally Delish! I didn’t know how the collard green cole slaw would taste but it was so good. Not quite sure how to describe it…tasted more like a pickled type flavor.

It was soooo good Yall! So good in fact, that we ended up going back for breakfast on our day to head back home! Yes it was worth going twice while we were there.
