I am 1 in 4 women who have lost a child to miscarriage, and I am 1 in 160 deliveries that have ended in stillbirth. So, I join in with many women today on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day to remember and honor our heaven babies.

On this annual day of remembrance observed on October 15, we hold space for pregnancy loss and infant death, which includes miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, and the death of a newborn.

On this day some organizations offer the opportunity to join the Wave of Light event for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. During the Wave of Light, people around the world light candles at 7 PM local time to create a chain of light that spans the globe to remember and honor their lives.

In my latest episode of the Can You Just Sit With Me? Podcast, I sit with Alisha Reginal, founder of Remembering My Child. An organization that helps bereaved parents process pain and cherish memories. We chat about the baby loss due to stillbirth and the grief that accompanies this type of loss. We also chat about ways to cope and ways to remember your child after loss. I hope as you listen, you feel not so alone and you feel seen in your grief and I pray you will find some comfort and hope.
