We are on the brink of football season with per-season starting this weekend! I am indeed a football fan. I started watching football in high school and a little known fact about me is that I actually tried out for my High School football team! Hilarious venture when I think about it but I did. I just knew I was going to be the first female kicker on the team and first female ever on the team. Needless to say, I didn’t make the team. Sooo, I just enjoy watching!
I attended my 1st NFL game last year with my hubby to see the Carolina Panthers play against the Broncos. It was so awesome to see our Cam Newton (Panther’s QB) and Steve Smith (Panther’s WR) in action, as well as seeing Peyton Manning (QB) of the Broncos.
Since I do enjoy the game of football so much, I ended up joining a Fantasy Football league at work about 3 years ago and I’ve been a participant ever since. Additionally, my hubby created a family Fantasy Football league last year which was a riot to play in! Fantasy Football is basically an online game that you play with a group of others, mimicking the actual NFL process of drafting players on your team and then playing other teams week to week in an effort to go to the Super Bowl and win it all! I have not won YET but I am progressively getting better each year and I must say that it does make for watching the games even more exciting!
I am so looking forward to this Football Season and to see how I will fare in Fantasy Football. What team will you be cheering for this season?
