Keechii Bags – Lovely You Gets Social

As you lovelies know, I love sharing with you, inspiring women! Women who are visionaries, who know what they want and who go after it! That’s why I am so excited to introduce Marcia Spencer, the Creative Designer and Owner of Keechii Bags! Or you can just say “MUST-HAVE” bags! I’m seriously Crushing on the entire Keechii Bag Collection.

I invited Marcia to share insights about #designerlife…

How long have you been a designer?
That’s a tough question because I like to think that I’ve been a designer since I learned how to sew and started making my own clothes. I actually did not pursue it as a career until 2007 when I started Small Beans, a children clothing line. It’s been a year now since I launched Keechii’s spring/summer handbag collection.

What inspired you to become a designer?
I’ve always had a desire to create! At first it was my passion of fashion and the desire to create that motivated me and inspired me! Now, its more than ever, my children that inspire me to hold on to what I truly love and what makes me happy. They keep me inspired! I only hope they will too, one day, pursue what makes them truly happy in life.

What is your inspiration for each design?
When I create a bag I like to focus on simple iconic structures. I’m inspired by modern, chic fashion and seem to get caught in the 70’s at times.

What is your vision for Keechii Bags?
My vision for Keechii, is to grow as a brand and company. I would like to open a couple of stores in the future! I plan to expand my product line…. the sky is the limit! My vision is for Keechii to be a brand that every women covets and wants in there closet.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?
The accomplishment that I am most proud of is being able to step out on faith and start this business. I’ve had many small successes but with out the strength and faith to start, I would not have any of it. Oh, and landing a feature in The News and Observer wasn’t too shabby either 🙂 :)!

Tell us about your newest designs and upcoming events?
The newest edition to the Keechii Collection this summer would be the two sided Clutch Minis, and the Tassels! I’ve added quite a few leather clutches to the collection! Some in bold colors and fresh new prints. I’m very excited! There is not a bag, or clutch mini that I have made that I haven’t wanted to keep for myself, lol! You should come check them out at the Nusol Hair show in Durham NC on Aug 22, 2015, Keechii will be set up there….
