For Moms (Stay At Home, Work At Home Moms)
For Moms. As a former corporate employee of over 12 years and now a mom that chose to stay at home and work at home with her littles, I sometimes struggle with the thought…is being home with them enough. For the Stay at Home, Work at Home Mom, there are…
- No days off
- No monetary bonuses
- No promotions
- No adaboys
- No pats on the back, you’re doing a good job
- No peer review, annual or biannual assessment to see how you’re doing
The struggle is real and it is definitely a character builder. One thing is for certain though, the job of a mother/parent is far greater than any other job that one can hold. For we are shaping the next generation.
And just when I thought that being a SAHM/WAHM wasn’t enough, I get a card from my 9 year old…
“Dear Mom, Thanks for teaching the gospel to me, and providing food for me, and being a kind-hearted mom that loves and cares for me!”
My eyes immediately welled up with tears because I knew that God spoke through her that day. It was what I needed to hear at that moment whether she knew it or not. And it reaffirmed my purpose for this season in my life. Which is to raise God conscious children and to point them to Jesus. For now I know that it is definitely my assignment to be home with my littles and that alone is enough.
Well, here I am tearing up too! I totally get this post. So glad God sent you the encouragement that you needed.
Thanks so much! God always know what we need!
awe!!! The moment that makes it all worth it!!!!
