My hubby and I love watching movies! A typical date night includes dinner, a good movie and maybe a little shopping. The last movie that we went to see was Oz, the Great and Powerful. I so enjoyed it, as it shed light on the original story line and the characters and animation were so vivid!
Here are my Top 5 Favorite Movies of all Time, in no particular order because I love them all, meaning I can really sit and watch any of these multiple times in one day.
The Five Heartbeats – “Is there a heart, is there a heart in the house tonight..”! This has become a family staple. My sisters and I would recite scenes from the movie line by line…we could do this for hours.
Dirty Dancing – “Nobody puts baby in the corner”! I can really recite scenes from this one as well. I still remember throwing my niece in the air when she was young (toddler age, I think), trying to mimic the finale lift at the end of the movie. Thank God she lived through it to create an awesome blogspot, Nicole @ Pharr Away!
Wizard of Oz – “If I was the king of the forest… Not queen, not duke, not prince”, as the cowardly lion says! It’s so hilarious because my dad actually recites this line (with his own made up words at the end), hilarious!
Sound of Music – “The hills are alive with the sound of music..”! I love, love, love, love music, so there’s no surprise that this musical is a favorite of mine. We started to watch Les Misérables, which is a musical, on Netflix but haven’t finished it yet. Wow, is all I can say. Great artistic expressions throughout.
The Devil Wears Prada – One word, Fashion! Love this movie, if only just to watch what all the girls are wearing. Meryl Streep is fierce!!
This weekend, it’s all about Iron Man 3!!
What are your movie favorites?

Why are all of these my top movies too (except I include Beauty and the Beast in my list)!!! I can not wait to see Iron Man 3!
Oh, and I so forgot about how we use to attempt that lift! I could not stop laughing when I read this!!!
I love Beauty and the Beast too, though!! And yes, it so funny, you were a “Baby”, that was the only reason I could lift you above my head, lol!
I don’t have the patience to go to the theatre anymore but one of my fav is “Jaws”.
We used to watch jaws all the time too!
Natasha I had to come over after Nicole ranted and raved about how amazing you are. She had such kind and inspiring things to say about you as a mentor! Glad to come over and see for myself! Glad to find you. Some of my favorites are Lean on Me, Adventures in Babysitting, Boyz N the Hood, Fried Green Tomatoes, & Sister Act 2, lol!
