Now, I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage, ‘the family that prays together, stays together’. Well I still believe that holds true along with a few other things that can strengthen your family circle as a whole and your family’s faith. I’ll be sharing those with you in today’s article including a wonderful Family Devotional series by David C Cook.

Strengthening Your Family’s Faith
A few ways that you can strengthen your family circle as well as your family’s faith is with Family Prayer, Family Time and Family Devotionals. We do all of these and they each have their place and are effective to strengthening our family’s faith, as a whole. We pray together at the start of the day and before bedtime. Bible studies/bible class are incorporated into our Homeschooling. And family times are anything from movies nights to playing a game to spending time at the park. Last but not least, our devotional time is every night before bedtime.
So we are currently reading through “Knowing the Holy Spirit” and it has been a great time of engaging conversation between us as parents and our kids. I love how there is a section for growing our faith as well as the children’s faith. The questions asked in these sections, prompts the thought-provoking conversations and helps the verse discussed to sink in, versus only reading it. Also, the illustrations are a nice touch for the little ones that are not big readers yet.
