I certainly do not claim to be the expert in relationships but I can share with you what I’ve learned over the years and what has and hasn’t worked for me. One thing that is key to staying connected in a relationship is spending quality time together. You’ve heard me say that great relationships take work! Well, part of the work that my hubby and I put into our relationship is making time to go on Date Nights on a consistent frequent basis. We have periodic lunch dates and date nights about twice/month. Time together away from the kids is essential to staying connected with each other. It helps us connect as a couple which helps us with parenting as well.
This is not always easy to do, as other things tug at our time. We commit that our family comes before our job and other life obligations. The only thing that comes before our family is God. We commit to taking the time above anything else because we know that it is vital to maintaining togetherness! Are you taking the time and doing what is necessary to maintain closeness in your relationship? Give that some thought!
Now here’s to the linkup!
