5 Simple Ways to Update Any Space
We’ve been in our home now for almost 8 years and have a few rooms that I think are perfect as it relates to the look and feel of the room. But there are some other spaces, that I’ve been wanting to update a bit. To give it some freshness. And since I’m currently in the process of doing so, I thought it would be great to share this with you. So today I’m sharing 5 Simple Ways to Update Any Space. *This post contains affiliate links for easy shopping. See full disclosure.*
1-New Lighting.
Lighting … yes especially lamps are a great way to update and bring freshness to any space.
This particular floor lamp was exactly what I needed for our living room for a quick update. And for the added lighting. Most times, we don’t like using the top light because it’s just too much but this lamp offers the perfect lighting for what we wanted. And oh my goodness, you can use 1, 2 or all 3 lights. How perfect is that! And it gives the space an added modern look.
Fresh Paint.
As you may have seen on my Facebook yesterday, we are in the process of updating our dining room. I initially painted the room an almost hunter green color, which I loved when I painted it that color. Now after watching episode after episode of Fixer Upper with Chip and Jo, “white” walls are calling my name. So I decided to paint that room white and add in a few things to freshen up the room. So we’re going from green to white! I’ll keep you posted on how it’s going.

After – In Process.
Replace Accent Items. It’s so simple to replace pillows, rugs or throws to freshen up a room. I’ve had it on my list to actually buy fabric to make some new covers for throw pillows for the living room…another little project. For now the lamp will have to do :).
Install New Wall Decor. This could be anything from a new mirror to something you thrifted. Speaking of which, I recently thrifted a few pieces. I found some beautiful canvased Disney Princess art. Which y’all know, if it’s Disney I’m on it, lol! The 3 pieces that I found are now in the girls’ room. And a few other pieces I found, I still need to hang in the kids’ bathroom. This is such an easy and inexpensive way to update a space.
