7 Packing Must-Haves for Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World

Here are 7 Packing Must-Haves for Walt Disney World. Some of these things we found out based on research when we were preparing for our trip and others we found out based on experience once we got there!

1. Do bring ponchos. Orlando has rainy weather and the rain comes at any moment! We got ours for around $4 at Target. I didn’t see them online so you may need to check the store.

2. Do bring water shoes.  We didn’t have these and it rained almost everyday…torrential downpours at times and our shoes got soaked! I found these inexpensive water shoes on swim outlet.com!

3. Do bring an inexpensive dolly. Having a family of five; we had so much luggage for the week and it would’ve been great if we had packed a retractable dolly. The walk from the main building of our resort to our room was a decent walk and we ended up having to make several trips when arriving and leaving. Of course, this tip is for if you are driving there versus flying. Here’s an inexpensive dolly at Sears.

4. Do bring a Cooler backpack. We purchased this Ozark Trail Cooler Backpack from Walmart that my hubs has on in the picture. It was awesome, we were able to pack enough water for all of us for the day.

This was helpful for packing snacks, camera, ponchos, bug spray, sunscreen, mini 1st aid kit, sanitizer, tissue…and whatever else you need for young ones. We had 2 string backpacks. You can purchase these from almost anywhere. We actually already had ours,  complimentary of work or conferences. Here are some drawstring backpacks offered on Amazon.

6.  Do buy glow sticks. You can get these from a variety of local stores for nighttime glow fun. I got them $1 at Target. It helped with identifying my family when walking through the crowd and it was just really cool for the kids to glow in the dark. Here is a value pack of glow sticks from Party City.Walt Disney World

7. Do bring an empty memory card with lots of memory! Although we did purchase the Disney Memory Maker as part of our Disney Package, I still ended up taking tons and tons of pics and ended up running out of memory just at the end!

  1. Disney World is one of my favorite places! I’ve been 3 or 4 times in my life and it never gets old. A poncho is super important because I can’t tell you how much we had to use them while there!

  2. Great tips! Now I just need to talk my hubby into taking us:)

  3. Love this…it reminded me of when I went to Disney World ♡
