JulyCurlKit

My July Curlkit is here! As I’ve mentioned {here}, I have a monthly subscription. The Curlkit is a box filled with natural hair care goodies and after receiving July’s Curlkit, I decided to do a simple wash and go to try out a few of the products. I washed my hair with the Luscious Locks Shea Butter Shampoo. I really enjoyed the heavy lather of this shampoo and the moisturizing feeling it gave my hair as I was washing it. I then used a berry leave-in conditioner from a previous Curlkit and then applied the Eco Custard to smaller sections of my hair while detangling with a wide tooth comb. The Eco Custard has a light consistency which I liked. I then used a mix of argon and coconut oil to seal in the moisture. I pulled my hair into a very high ponytail to aid in stretching the hair; I saw this technique on YouTube and it works well.  I then tied my hair up with a silk scarf and a satin bonnet. The next morning, I took it down and shook it out and got this wash and go look!

Thanks Nicole! I’m learning to heavily moisturize, then seal with natural oils for better results whether it’s a wash and go or twist-out.
