Week 15: Choose Faith Over Feelings {Previous Weeks}

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (AMP)
8 We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;
9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;
10 Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [[a]resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies.

The sooner WE accept the fact that life has its troubles; the sooner we can live in joy & peace in God! We must “Live By Faith” and not our feelings!

The verses above say that we are…pressed, suffer embarrassment, persecuted, hard driven, struck down…just to name a few! And that’s enough to make us depressed.

But here’s the GOOD NEWS; with God…we are not crushed, we are not driven in despair, not deserted to stand alone, never struck out nor destroyed!!!!

What does all this mean? It means that although we may FEEL at times that the very life if being squeezed out of us; our God is that very present help in time of Trouble and he WILL NOT let the things in life destroy us. We must believe his Word is true…no matter how we feel!

Meditate on Romans 8:37, But in all these things I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me!!

      Thanks Nicole!! It’s a constant battle for me but I’m learning by meditating on the Word, that it gets easy to choose faith over feelings!

  2. I love this. I completely agree, when we decide to let GOD in our lives and most importantly in our hearts and we have faith in him. Things start to just fall into place. Yes life is hard but with God in our lives it becomes tolerable. Great week once again

  3. This is so true and something to remember at all times. We can’t be thrown off by these feelings. Gotta keep our eyes on God!
