Week 25: Exceedingly Glad {Previous Weeks}

Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)
This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Each and every day we must make a decision, a conscious effort to be happy…to embrace the joy of the Lord! When we wake up in the morning we too often; put on an attitude regret, anger, bitterness of having to get up to go to “that” job or to do this or that. These thought patterns within themselves take our eyes off the fact of how grateful and thankful we should be…even to be alive!

We take for granted that it was God that woke us up this morning and not ourselves. Acts 17:28 (AMP) says that “For in Him we live and move and have our being…”. We are simply blessed to live to see another day!

We must be like the Psalmist David and say, “This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be exceedingly glad in it.” And we can go a little further to say as Psalm 34:1 (KJV) says, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Only joy can come from a heart of praise and worship! So let’s make it a point to start each day, such that we ward off negativity that tries to encroach our minds at the start of each day!

  1. Thanks! I heard something yesterday on 850 KFUO that just stopped me in my tracks. “There are 86,400 seconds in a day – have you used even one of them to thank God for what he has done for you today?” Talk about a reality check.

  2. Thank you for this! I like what you said about God waking us up in the morning and not ourselves. It really helps put things in perspective with how we approach each day God has allowed us to live.

      You are welcome Lydia! Thanks so much for stopping by! We all need reminders…God is so graciously good to us that he gives or shows us things that remind us of his goodness!

  3. Thanks for the reminder Tasha! Makes me think about what we were talking about yesterday! I am so grateful for all God has done in my life, even through this broken foot so I can focus on the Relationship I have with Him!
