Fondue Dessert for Two

It seems like forever since my Hubs and I have been on a date…it’s been 9 plus months in fact as our littlest turns 9 month old this week. That’s a far cry from our 52 plus Dates that we did last year. Although we haven’t had the time away from the kids outside the home, we still try to “Steal Away” every now and again at home. So coming up with creative fun ideas at home is a must…like Fondue Dessert for Two sound, Yes Please!

Fondue Dessert for Two

My hubs and I LOVE the fondue style dining so when I found this Fondue for Two set at Uncommon Goods, I knew I had to buy it! I thought, what a perfect way to set up a space at home for a date night! It is so perfect for us.

I loved prepping all the goodies to pair with the chocolate fondue.  And speaking of which, I used milk chocolate morsels, milk and vanilla extract, melting these ingredients in my make shift double boiler to make the fondue. And for the dippers, I just grabbed a few things from the grocer that we love to pair with chocolate: strawberries, rice crispy treats, pound cake, pretzels, bananas, and marshmallows…can you say YUM!

Whatcha think, how cute and perfect is this Fondue for Two…which would also make the perfect wedding gift! You can grab one for your fall wedding bride and groom so that they can enjoy a fondue dessert for two, for many years after the honeymoon.

Now what I love about Uncommon Goods, it is definitely a ‘Go To’ site for shopping for things that are, you got it, “Uncommon”. So it’s prefect for people on your gift list or for yourself who you may feel have everything. Also, I know for me, trying to find Gifts for Men, um yeah, that can be so tricky, but this site has so many gift ideas…. like this desktop bowling game.

And since I am so sentimental as most women are, I love that there are so many personalized gifts to choose from. I love this ‘My Life Story – So Far’, a journal that inspires parents and grandparents with prompts to document life and history as a keepsake for generations to come. I have to get this one too!

Now, let me tell you a little about this brand. Uncommon Goods is an online gem for all things ‘uncommon’ that you’re looking for whether for your home, a gift or for yourself! It is “an online marketplace to connect makers and their creations with individuals looking for truly special goods, regardless of the physical distance between the maker and the shopper. And with your help, it is building a community of passionate people who love their products and connect with the stories behind them.

So what great finds will you grab from Uncommon Goods?
