Week 21: Forever Loved {Previous Weeks}

Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.

We are all sinners in need of a Savior. The bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord (Romans 3:23). We have all at one point or another experienced what the Apostle Paul writes in Romans 7:15, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”…wrestling to consistently do what is right. In these times we must rely on our strength in God and in the grace of God. The bible says that where sin abounds, grace much more abounds (Romans 5:20). God’s love is so unconditional. We cannot fathom the depth, length or height of his love for us (Ephesians 3:18). God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

So, the subject verse above, Zephaniah 3:17, says that God is with us, he takes great delight in us and because of his love; he no longer rebukes or reprimands or disapproves of us but rejoices over us with singing. How precious is that….

He Loves us, oh how he loves us…Take comfort in knowing that you are forever loved by a God who is love and that is Mighty to Save us!
