Stirfry

I absolutely love Chinese food! I go through spurts where I want to eat it every day of the week. Several months ago, one of my Asian co-workers gave me a recipe for homemade Chinese Stir fry and it is Sooo Yummy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • olive oil
  • salt/pepper
  • mixed veggies of your choice
  • 1 lb pre-cup beef (Or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup of Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup of Chicken Broth
  • Corn Starch (optional to thicken sauce)
  • Angel Hair Pasta (Or your choice)

Directions:

In a sauce pan, combine the broth and soy sauce and allow to come to a boil. Set aside for later.

Chopped

Fresh Ginger Root and Garlic. Who knew ginger looked like that? I sure didn’t!

Food Trinity

Mince garlic, ginger and chop onion. Some call this the holy trinity of seasoning.

Pasta

Boil Pasta as directed on package. 5-7 minutes here. I add a little butter, salt and pepper while boiling.

Stirfry2

Heat olive oil in a pan on med/high heat. Add in garlic, onion, ginger and meat. Sautee the onion and brown the meat.

Veggies

In a separate pan, heat olive oil in pan on med/high heat and add in mixed veggies. Cook for about 3 minutes.

Stirfry3

Add Meat, Pasta and Sauce in with veggies. Mix together and cook for about 5 minutes to let the flavors marry together! Now you have a homemade Delish Chinese Dish!!

  1. My men love Chinese take-out, I worry about the sodium content – but this looks delish!

Thanks! Same here with the sodium. The good thing about this dish is that you can limit the amount of sodium by limiting the amount of soy sauce used!
