Sugar and spice and everything nice! Don’t you just love the smell of sugar and spices this time of year. Hence, why I love diffusing cinnamon essential oils around this time too, lol. Today, I’m sharing a Homemade Ginger Bread Cookie Recipe. So perfect for cultivating special moments with the kids with decorating the cookies together.  Homemade Ginger Bread Cookie Recipe

The dough is as easy as it gets, though it takes an hour to rest. Then after baking, you can have fun with your icing.

Again, the icing is super simple to make as well. And you can add in as much or as little color and design. I used this recipe as a guide. I figured there was no need to try to reinvent the wheel to come up with my own recipe. With this one, as with any recipe, you can cut sugar or butter, if needed. I pretty much stayed true to this recipe and the cookies were soooo delicious.

The kids and I actually ended up putting a few batches in pretty holiday bags and gave them to family as gifts.

Let me know if you give this recipe a try!
