I love my hair!

When I was in college, I would rock a different hair style every couple of days, whether short, long, curly, straight, black, blonde or blue, permed, weaved or a wig, I’d wear every style I could come up with! To me, it’s another way of expression, like art, design or music!

Now, with a full-time job, hubby, kids and ministry at church, I try to change it up about once every 6 weeks or so!

Here are several looks I’ve worn:

About 2 years ago, I decided to go natural, meaning I decided to no longer put relaxers in my hair which changes the natural texture of my hair from curly to straight. It wasn’t a statement that I was trying to make but it is recommended for you to not use chemicals in your hair when you are expecting a baby. Hmmm, I thought, if now is not a good time, it’s probably never a good time to relax my hair! S0, I stopped getting relaxers when we found out that we were expecting our youngest son, then chopped my hair off to it’s natural texture (the Big Chop) a few months later. After my son was born, I continued to stay natural and I love it! I can do just as much now with my hair as I could before (I’m also a hair stylist disguising as an engineer)!

Here’s a look at what I’ve captured of my natural hair styles!

  1. Natural hair is awesome. I did the Big Chop in Feb 2012 because the relaxers were damaging my scalp. Now my hair and scalp is the healthiest its ever been.

  2. Would love to see more posts from time to time regarding your natural hair regime, styles, etc.
