Lovely You Gets Social…Meet the beautiful Shayla Cobb!
I have been very blessed to have the opportunity to cross paths with some very talented and inspiring people. Last year I met the very talented Shayla Cobb, the creative mind behind Carolina Couture and Thorough Breed Apparel. Her drive and creativity are inspiring. So I invited her to share a little about her life as a designer!
How long have you been a designer?
I have been designing for about 6 years.
What inspired you to become a designer?
It started when I was about 9 or 10 and I would redo the clothes my mom would buy me, by cutting, dying or drawing on them.
What is your inspiration for each design?
My inspiration comes from many places, sometimes its the fabric itself, like the texture, color and movement of it. Also art, music and something I envision myself wearing.
What is your vision for Thorough Breed and Carolina Couture?
I would love to see them as a well known brand and sold all over.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
For the past three years I have hosted and put on my own fashion shows where I showcase my own designs, as well as being featured in Carolina Style magazine.
Tell us about your newest designs and upcoming events?
I’m working on some new pieces for an upcoming show this February 14, 2015 which will be held in New York NY.
