North End Caffe – Exploring Food
My hubs and I are Food Network Fans and more specifically fans of Guy Fieri of “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives” also known as “Triple D”. So whenever we are traveling, we try to check the Food Network site in order to see if we can find a place that Guy has featured on Food Network. During our recent trip to Southern California, I found the North End Caffe at Manhattan Beach and based on the reviews, had to try it out! Checkout Guy’s visit to North End Caffe!
On the TOP of my list to try here was the Kahlua Pig Egg Roll and the Fettuccini Carbonara…I love pork and I love Italian food so I couldn’t lose! When I walked in the cafe, I saw a pic of the owner with Guy and I knew that I was in the right place. 
Then I viewed the lunch specials on the wall and saw the Fettuccini Carbonara…It wasn’t quite lunchtime so I was glad that they made the order for me, as the Carbonara dish contains homemade noodles that are made to order…can you say yum! The kahlua pig egg rolls come in an order of 3 so I ordered only 1 since I was ordering the other dish. Plus, after seeing how big they are, I only needed one!
Let’s talk about this egg roll! It was so yummy, flavorful pork, and the dipping sauce, Oh my Goodness, it was just so good. It has to be hands down one of the best things I’ve ever tasted, the perfectly cooked egg roll and all the flavors inside were perfectly paired.
The same with the pasta. I’ve been to a few authentic Italian restaurants and I am a huge Italian food fan and this Fettuccini Carbonara dish was the best that I’ve ever eaten. I literally kept eating pass the point of being full because it was so good and I’m usually good about not doing that. It was just SO good! I was so very impressed with this place and wish I could have tried even more things, maybe next time when we’re in the area!
