His Grace is Sufficient! This is the feeling that I was left with after watching “Paul: Apostle of Christ” Movie.

Paul: Apostle of Christ

The movie brings to light the dangers and challenges many Christians faced during the rule of Emperor Nero in Rome. Including being imprisoned, beaten, burned or even put to death. It portrays how Christians may have felt, because of the difficulties; like being ready to give up. But then it reminds us that God said there would be trouble and hard times. So, take heart for God has overcome the world!

Paul: Apostle of ChristNow, what I really like about this movie, is that the characters are believable and relatable. The movie setting and story line brings biblical events that we have read about to life.

Paul (Faulkner), who goes from the most infamous persecutor of Christians to Christ’s most influential apostle, is spending his last days in a prison awaiting execution by Emperor Nero. Luke (Caviezel), his friend and physician, risks his life to visit him. Gathering God’s truths and wisdom from him, that he would soon pen in the book of Acts.

Many of Paul’s recollections in the movie, about his life, are so moving. Like the stoning of Steven and his flashback of his day on the road to Damascus. We are able to gather Paul’s sense of regret for the role that he played in the persecution of Christians. But in his own coined phrased, he learned that God’s Grace is Sufficient. His latter days were certainly greater than his former days. And his life and influence for Christ is still with us today.

As Believers, we can all relate to challenging times in our Christian journey. We can relate to how many of Christ’s followers were feeling as one said, “this is where trusting God gets you’…after losing someone they loved. The movie challenges us to look beyond the challenges of this life and to trust God is ALL things. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18

Such an encouragement! So, this movie is definitely one worth adding to your DVD collection for some inspiration and encouragement. And here’s your chance to Win 1 of 5 Bluray/DVD copies of Paul: Apostle of Christ below:
