The 3rd Annual SHE Leads Conference, hosted by Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy (WYWLA), for Wake County high school students will be held this month, which is also Women’s History Month! The Mission and Vision of the conference is to empower and equip students as leaders in their schools and community today as well as in the future. This years conference will explore four career pathways – Health Science, Human Services, Technology and Communication, Business Management and Administration.
Each year about 15 students from each High School in Wake County NC attend this leadership event. This year’s conference will take place on March 16, 2018, from 8:30a-1:10p. On the itinerary is a featured keynote speaker, panelists and presenters. All to aid in preparing, empowering, and supporting teens to grow as leaders.
This event is perfectly planned in the month of March as it is Women’s History Month. It is programs like SHE Leads Conference that help the young women of today to become the history makers of our future.
Presenters have been invited based upon their passion in a particular area of leadership preparation that would add even more value to the conference. That is why I am so excited to announce that I will be participating as one of the presenters this year!
