My family and I have been using essential oils for the past several years. What had seemed like a ‘fad’ to some people has basically become part of our everyday lifestyle. With intentionality to live a more natural, green and clean life. So, when it comes to my emotional health, I reach for my essential oils. Along with prayer of course.
Top 5 Essential Oils for Emotional Support
Now, here’s my top 5 Essential Oils for Emotional Support along with a brief description of how each helps.
Ylang Ylang*. Good for anxiety, depression, nervous tension, PMS and menopause stress.
Helichrysum*. Good balancing oil for nervous conditions, helps with healing emotional trauma, helpful with healing old wounds and scars from the past. Helps to prevent depression and chronic fatigue.
Sandalwood*. Supports meditation and quiets mental activity. Reduces irritation and aggressive behavior. Provides protection and encourages acceptance emotionally.
Lavender*. Calming, relaxing, treats depression and insomnia.
Neroli*. Helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

Mood Boosting Blend Recipe
MATERIALS:
2 drops (Helichrysum or Sandlewood) Essential Oil
3 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Fractionated Coconut Carrier Oil
10mL dark glass roll-on container
DIRECTIONS:
1. Add carrier oil into the dark glass 10mL container.
2. Add your essential oils, one drop at a time. In the order listed above (base notes, followed by middle/top notes), to your 10mL container.
3. Place roller and cap on bottle.
4. Roll in hands several times to mix oils.
5. Add label with name, ingredients and date created.
6. Apply behind ears and to wrists.
