I’ve enjoyed using this bible as a study resource. With so many electronic options for reading the bible, it seems that physical bibles are being done away with. But seriously, nothing beats having your own leather bound hard copy of the Bible like the Tony Evans Study Bible.

5 Tips for Studying the Bible

5 Tips for Studying the Bible
  1. Pray. Pray for God’s help. Submit all that you do to the Lord and he will help you.
  2. Commit. Commit to spending time in the Word each day.
  3. Compare. Read and Compare the scriptures. I love comparing the verses over the variant Bible translations. Cross-referencing is also a great way to compare.
  4. Context. Find the context of the verses. Ask Questions like Who? What? Where? When? This will help identify context.
  5. Apply. Now apply what you have read. Ask yourself, how does it relate to life. And how can I apply and use it in daily life.
