I wanted to begin a weekly Health and Fitness post called “Wellness Wednesdays” as health/fitness is a big part of my lifestyle. Pictured above, is me just coming back from a run and yes I’m smiling!!!
I have never been much of a runner, in fact I hated running. Before last year, I could not even run 2 minutes straight. I’d walk and then attempt to jog but just felt it was too hard and thought, why bother. I still worked out but running was not apart of my cardio routine.
Last year, I started gradually adding in jogging, alternating between walking and jogging, a few minutes at a time. Eventually, I was able to run 30 minutes straight! I couldn’t believe it and still can’t! It totally makes a different, it burns more calories and fat than some other cardio activities. I’m so glad that I pushed past my initial thoughts/feelings and added running into my fitness routine.

2. iPod: With Nike Plus App on my iPod
3. My ‘On the Go’ playlist (I only get through about 3-4 songs per mile, depending on my pace). It’s an interesting mix but works!
