3 Meditations for the Sleep Deprived Moms

Sleep Deprived Moms. Life with a Newborn, Infant, Toddler or Kids in general can be taxing on any Parent’s sleep. It simply comes with the territory…but there is hope and there is help!

Meditation in God’s Word is one sure fire way to help. But first what is meditation? It is the act of meditating; a written or spoken discourse expressing considered thoughts on a subject. Meditation in God’s Word builds our faith. It helps us believe what the bible says is true. So by meditating on truths concerning a particular area or situation in our life, they become more real, and the truths manifest in our life.

How do you meditate? Simply by saying and repeating a verse over and over again until it begins to resonate with you and you truly believe what that verse is saying.

Here are three (3) biblical truths for the sleep deprived Mom.

  • Jeremiah 31:25 “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”
  • 2 Corinthians 12:10 “For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
  • Psalm 127:2 “The Lord gives sleep to those he loves.”

When I’m up in the middle of the night, I find so much comfort in these verses. Remember that God honors his Word. The bible says that the Lord watches over his word to fulfill it (Jeremiah 1:12). That means if he says it, it will come to past.
