Pleated Baby Bump Chic

The weather has been off and on raining but I’m glad that I was able to catch a break in the clouds to showcase this gorgeous Pleated Baby Bump Chic maxi skirt c/o Shein! I am so in love with it! I remember in times past how pleats were so faux pas…everyone was saying how they made you look bigger. In reality, when worn correctly, pleats do not add additional weight to your look. Ideally, you’d want to wear them at high waist level to create an A-line. The alternative is low on the waist which may give the appearance of wider hips and I don’t know who wants that!

Now this blush pleated beauty is not a maternity skirt but hey, it looks good and it fits good…so I give it a dual thumbs up for being non-maternity/maternity! And now at 25 weeks, I’m loving it…plus, it’s a perfect transitional piece between seasons. So, what’s your take on wearing pleats and seasonal transitional pieces?
