The Keys to Life
The Keys to Life. “Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.” Proverbs 4:13 NLT
Mostly everything that we buy comes with a manual, from toys to electronics. And in order to properly assemble the item and for the item to function properly; we must follow the instructions found in the manual.
However, we tend to bypass the instructions and put things together as we see fit, how we think they should go, or how we have seen it or done it before, without – even – looking – at the instructions.
So it is the same with our lives; we have the ultimate Manual for our Life, the Bible, yet we don’t take the time to look at it for instructions when it comes to our every day life.
My encouragement for you this week is, take an area of your life and find scriptures that you can practically apply to that area. Take parenting for instance, look up scriptures that relate to parenting and meditate on them.
“But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.” Psalms 1:2-3 NLT
Just imagine applying this to every area of your life…I know that you will begin to see how God’s word is the Keys to Life!
